Poor in Spirit: to be poor in spirit requires a complete humility and poverty to know that God is our creator, Lord and Master. A total dedication to God's will and nothing stands between us and His will in all that we do. It is a state of spirit, not one of temporal possession.
Temporal possession: Worldly possession or blessings that are temporary.
