Why does man, when given freedom make the selfish choices to divide and isolate? The freedom of education has turned back against the very Church that promoted the freedom and Truth. Thru the division, Truth is manipulated and even worse lost for many.

When should your mind and soul return to the Truth and Hope in communion with the Creator and his people? There is peace and grace when you are poor in spirit.

Regarding certain interpretations of "Light of the World"

Following the publication of the interview-book Light of the World by Benedict XVI, a number of erroneous interpretations have emerged which have caused confusion concerning the position of the Catholic Church regarding certain questions of sexual morality. The thought of the Pope has been repeatedly manipulated for ends and interests which are entirely foreign to the meaning of his words – a meaning which is evident to anyone who reads the entire chapters in which human sexuality is treated. The intention of the Holy Father is clear: to rediscover the beauty of the divine gift of human sexuality and, in this way, to avoid the cheapening of sexuality which is common today.Some interpretations have presented the words of the Pope as a contradiction of the traditional moral teaching of the Church. Faith is the “substance” of things hoped for; the proof of things not seen. Saint Thomas Aquinas,4 using the terminology of the philosophical tradition to which he belonged, explains it as follows: faith is a habitus, that is, a stable disposition of the spirit, through which eternal life takes root in us and reason is led to consent to what it does not see.

Faith is not merely a personal reaching out towards things to come that are still totally absent: it gives us something. It gives us even now something of the reality we are waiting for, and this present reality constitutes for us a “proof” of the things that are still unseen. Faith draws the future into the present, so that it is no longer simply a “not yet”. The fact that this future exists changes the present; the present is touched by the future reality, and thus the things of the future spill over into those of the present and those of the present into those of the future.

Poor in Spirit: to be poor in spirit requires a complete humility and poverty to know that God is our creator, Lord and Master. A total dedication to God's will and nothing stands between us and His will in all that we do. It is a state of spirit, not one of temporal possession.
